Urban SHADE work on The Naked Scientist Urban SHADE’s Principal Investigator Dr Rachel Tolhurst spoke to the podcasting platform, The Naked Scientist about the effects of El Niño on the health of those living in low-and-middle-income countries. She highlighted the particular issues faced by those living in urban informal settlements. She discussed the link between climate change and access to healthcare, maternal and child health, increase in food and water borne diseases and vector borne diseases, food security among other issues.
